Out with the old: free composting and worm farm workshop at Tamala Park Recycling Centre

Laura PondWanneroo Times

LEARN how to compost and establish a worm farm at a free workshop in Tamala Park next week.

Mindarie Regional Council, local government initiative Switch Your Thinking and the City of Wanneroo are hosting the event, which features interactive demonstrations and inspiration to help attendees reduce waste at home and live more sustainably.

The workshop is at Tamala Park Recycling Centre on August 27 from 9.30am to 12.30pm.

Regular tours are also available for people who want to know more about how the City manages waste with the council, including that the green lid domestic waste bin is composted in Neerabup, with non-organic matter sent to landfill.
