About 60 polling teams began attending about 220 hospitals and nursing homes across WA on August 30.

Public awareness manager Brendon Barlow said the visits gave thousands of voters the opportunity to have their say. ‘People who are enrolled but may not be in a position to leave hospital or a nursing home to vote on election day should still have an opportunity to cast their vote,’ Mr Barlow said.

Voters eligible for this service include anyone unable to leave their bed or immediate location, other patients and residents.
