The 23-year-old law student has volunteered for several organisations since moving from Kenya 3½ years ago, including Teach Learn Grow, AIME, the Council of International Students Australia (CISA), Kenyan Community in WA and the ECU student guild.
While studying full-time Shufaa is also the secretary for CISA.
‘I’m really passionate about people, multiculturalism, the community and social justice,’ Shufaa said.
