Tenders sought to remove yacht wreck

A spokeswoman said the department had to award a tender for removal of the boat, which ran aground after hitting reef during stormy weather in July.

Its owner indicated he did not have the capability to do so himself.

Two months after the yacht became beached near Pipidinny Road, the department issued a removal notice to the owner.
