PARKING restrictions in the Wanneroo town centre come into effect next month.

The City of Wanneroo is implementing timed parking restrictions on existing on-street bays on Dundebar Road, outside Wanneroo Library and Cultural Centre.

Five bays will have a three hour limit and two bays will be restricted to 15 minute parking on weekdays from 9am to 5.30pm.

The City said the change was in response to concerns from visitors to the centre.

“The proposed parking prohibitions have been designed to optimise the available on-street parking facilities for the Wanneroo Library users and for the visitors of the Wanneroo town centre,” it said.

The restrictions take effect on May 15.
