Employment agencies not doing enough

READING that Girrawheen has the biggest unemployment rate (“Northern exposure”, Times, August 2) just shows the employment agencies obviously are not doing their jobs well enough to help unemployed people find a job or help them find a course they could do.

Help being the key word, rather than pointing people to a computer and expect them to know what they are looking for.

Our taxes do pay these employment agencies to direct and help people in finding employment.
