Strengthen dog barking laws

I HAVE great sympathy for your reader Gary Snowball from Madeley. Dogs have become an increasing issue in our community.

I too have suffered from inconsiderate neighbours with barking dogs and have complained numerous times to the council but to no avail.

The Dog Act needs to change. I have no objection to people owning dogs, provided they clean up the dog mess, take care of the animal and keep the barking to a minimum.

It’s no excuse for an owner of a dog to say “what can I do when I’m out”? Why should their neighbours suffer while the owner is out?

Everyone deserves the right to peace and quiet. Dog owners should be more considerate and the Dog Act needs to change.
