Use space well

Extra rail cannot work without extra parking. So the sensible thing and which is badly needed is multi-storey parking.

When Edgewater station was built years ago it was so small for our needs that people like me urged the council of the day and also when the commissioners were in control that they should make every car park built to fit the traffic of the future.

That request was ignored and we were told is was too costly.

So they went ahead and cleared the other half of the station land for extra parking. You see it’s so easy to use these huge machines and clear native bushland.

We were told that what they were doing was the best way, but we still don’t have enough car parking space.

And there is no mention of the destruction of bushland and the creatures in it. We are the ones destroying nature and there will be nothing left for the future children.

Does the Government care?

Just consider Nowergup (the opposing of mining in the area), how long can that go on?

Listen to Sabine Winton and her supporters, they are well informed. Nowergup must be saved and exchanged in a land swap.

We need some independent thinkers, not so many ‘yes men’.

Our planning departments have turned into dictatorships and people are being ignored.

Squashing people on top of each other has never worked. We need space.
