Big night for champions

Justin Bianchini, Joondalup WeekenderWanneroo Times

Joint winners Andrew Strijk (25) and Shane Nelson (20) had stellar seasons after the disappointment of being delisted from the West Coast Eagles and missing out on an AFL call-up respectively.

With the medals around their neck, they posed for a photograph with club games record holder and nine-time Breckler winner Mel Whinnen and the 2013 premiership cup.

They finished ahead of Matt Guadagnin, Aaron Black and Marc Crisp, who also won the league coach’s award.

Melanie Dayman presented the courage award ” struck in her late husband and Falcon backman Wayne’s honour ” to Steven Browne.
