Despite coming fourth for the round after a crash in race three, home track favourite Regan Duffy managed to hold on to his series lead to take the championship in the 65cc 10 to under-13 division.

Fellow local rider Navrin Grothues took third for the round, but it was his time to shine when he claimed the 85cc nine to under-12 State championship ahead of Duffy who again crashed in the second race.

Brother Caleb Grothues also performed well, winning all three 85cc 12 to under-14 races to secure the State title.

He also took two wins for the day in the 100-125cc 13 to under-15 division, but it was not enough to make the podium for the series.
