Lend a helping hand to those in need

Oakwood Funerals and Chipper Funerals in Rockingham are supporting the campaign by providing their locations as drop-off points for the donation of blankets.

‘Oakwood and Chipper Funerals provide support every year for Anglicare and their Winter Blanket Appeal because we don’t believe that individuals or families should have to make a choice between basic necessities such as food, warmth and medication,’ Oakwood Funerals Rockingham location manager Jackie Thompson said.

As well as collecting good quality furniture, clothing and household items to support disadvantaged families, Anglicare provides donated blankets to the frail and elderly, individuals or families in crisis and the homeless.

The Winter Appeal will run until the end of August.

Blankets can be donated at Chipper Funerals, 69 Dixon Road, Rockingham or Oakwood Funerals, 6 Robinson Place, Rockingham.
