Sunday timed for shoppers

The State Government last month approved extensions to Sunday shopping during December with retailers able to open from 8am to 6pm.

The recently refurbished Kwinana Marketplace is one place with already bumper shopping crowds.

Centre retail manager Lilian Di Stefano-Crowcher said extended trading hours would give working parents a greater opportunity to shop.

‘The extended hours will give people a better chance to shop at their own leisure,’ she said.

‘I am expected that people will do their shopping early on in December with the extended hours, rather than leaving it to the last minute.

‘Those who have kids will find the extra hours really beneficial because they can come in early and leave before the shops would normally open.’

Extended Sunday trading runs on December 8, 15, 22 and 26.
