New level of multi-tasking

Mc Dermott is an author, runs a publishing company and is raising six children with husband Dylan.

Now Mc Dermott is being recognised for her juggling act, after making the finals in the AusMumpreneur Awards. She will be judged in the Business Excellence category.

There are three sections to her publishing business, Serentiy Press, Serenity Romance and Serenity Kids.

"I work mostly from home and have found a wonderful balance between working and family commitments," she said.

�I get up earlier and go to sleep later than everyone to fit it all in.

�My children are quite involved in the world of publishing.

"Books and babies are my life, she said"

Mc Dermott said she enjoyed her role because she helped people realise their dreams.

She said it was very exciting when people got their first book published. Mc Dermott would know, she is the author of three novels and numerous children's books.

"I am building something magical that can be shared worldwide," she said.

�Books are very important and when the right book finds the right person at the right time it can be life changing.

"I love sharing inspirational stories from amazing people who find amazing hope through dire circumstances."
