Ride for cancer hits close to home

John Dobson, Weekend CourierWeekend Kwinana Courier

The pair will clock up the kilometres over two days on October 19 and 20. Next Saturday, October 12, they are hosting a garden party fundraiser from 10am to 2pm in Rockingham to help them reach their goal of $5000.

It was a personal close call with the disease that led Mrs Firth to take part in the fundraiser.

‘My father was diagnosed with bowel cancer two years ago; luckily he is fine now but there are so many people battling cancer,’ she said.
