A MAN has blamed his wife’s lack of skill with a Navman GPS device as the reason he chose to drive without a licence for a fifth time.
Glynn Andrew Hassy pleaded guilty to no authority to drive when he appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court on September 18.
The prosecutor said Hassy was caught driving along Houston Street in Rockingham on December 13, 2016.

Magistrate Leanne Atkins said it took him just a month to drive again without a licence after being caught on November 4, 2016.
The other offences happened in 2015, 2011 and 2009.
“It took you from November 4 to December 13 to get behind the wheel – for an excuse which I find pitiable,” she said. “You could have got a map and directed your wife to drive.
“But you did not… You chose to drive.”
She placed him on a seven-month suspended sentence from 12 months and disqualified him driving for a further nine months.
“You’re at the end of the road Mr Hassy, there’s only one more step and that’s imprisonment.”
