Rockingham: police seek help with Christmas Day burglary

ROCKINGHAM Detectives have charged a 28-year-old man from Waikiki as a result of their investigation into a burglary and stealing incident at a home in Rockingham on Christmas Day.

Police claim two people entered a home on Rothbury Parade at about 12.20am and it is alleged they took various items from the home, including three motorcycle jackets, a Trek racing bike and a drum kit.

It is alleged they loaded the items into the victim’s Nissan Murano. The vehicle was parked in the garage and was packed with Christmas presents.

Police claim they fled the home in the stolen Nissan Murano, which has not been found.

A 28-year-old man has been charged with aggravated burglary and commit; stealing and stealing a motor vehicle.

He is due to appear before Perth Magistrates Court on January 27.

Inquiries are continuing in relation to the identity of the second person involved.
