Rockingham student wins scholarship to International Science School at Sydney University

ROCKINGHAM girl Katie Harris won a scholarship to the International Science School at Sydney University.

The Year 11 student participated in an intensive two-week physics program aimed at high achieving science students.

The theme was Future Power and students heard from an impressive line-up of international scientists working on solving the global energy crisis.

Katie said she was honoured to be offered such an amazing opportunity.

She revelled in the lecture series and enjoyed meeting like-minded people.

Katie attended Rockingham Montessori School then Rockingham Beach Primary School before she was awarded an academic scholarship at Penrhos College for high school.
