Two injured following Baldivis police chase

Two people are injured and one is in custody following a police chase in Baldivis yesterday (August 21).

Three people were arrested after they allegedly evaded police in a stolen vehicle.

Police claim about 12.10pm they observed a stolen Hyundai Elantra on Clyde Street in Baldivis.

Police attempted to stop the car, but it failed to stop and evaded them through the suburbs of Baldivis, Cooloongup and Karnup.

They further alleged the car drove south along Kwinana Freeway, before the driver lost control and travelled down an embankment near Karnup Road.

The car came to a rest before three occupants got out.

They were arrested by attending officers.

A 24-year-old man of Rockingham was taken to Rockingham Hospital with minor injuries.

He will be summonsed for two counts of stealing a motor vehicle.

A 19-year-old woman of Warnbro was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with minor injuries.

She will be summonsed for stealing a motor vehicle.

A 19-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of stealing a motor vehicle, reckless driving, reckless driving to evade police, two counts of aggravated dangerous driving causing bodily harm, having no authority to drive and a return to prison warrant.

He will appear before Rockingham Magistrates Court today.
