Safety Bay SHS student selected in WA athletics squad for Australian Athletics Championships

Hannah (13) was chosen after she won the Under 15 Women’s 1kg Discus Throw at the 2017 Athletics WA State Track and Field Championships held at Perry Lakes.

Hannah first started athletics when she was eight-years-old.

She trains in discus and shot put twice a week, running three times a week, competes in State athletics on Friday nights and participates in Little Athletics on Saturdays.

The national championships will be held at the Olympic Park Athletics Centre from March 26 to April 2. Hannah’s family are fundraising for her to compete. Email mel.bil@bigpond.com.
