LAKESIDE Joondalup Shopping City has brought one of the world’s most iconic characters to life with the Where’s Wally? Happiness Hunt Exhibition, which opened on Saturday.
There will be no missing the elusive man in red and white stripes as Wally descends on the centre in giant and detailed installations.
Three extraordinary zones across Lakeside Joondalup will be dedicated to the colourful school holiday extravaganza.
The exhibition showstopper will be the larger-than-life classic picture book with 48 Wally figurines emerging from its pages, presenting onlookers with the challenge of finding the ‘real’ Wally.
Shoppers will be able to relive their childhood memories of Where’s Wally? illustrator Martin Handford’s intricate work in the craft village, memorabilia displays and a centre-wide search.
Lakeside Joondalup centre manager Gemma Hanningan said she was excited to see shoppers embrace their inner child as they wove their way through the centre to explore the exclusive exhibition.
“The Happiness Hunt gives children and parents alike the opportunity to escape to magical wonderland of Where’s Wally? and immerse themselves in his colourful world,” she said.
“We know parents are always looking for fun activities to do with their littlies on the school holidays, and exploring the eight different zones and popping into retailers along the way will provide hours of entertainment.”
Lakeside Joondalup will be the third location in the world to host the international globetrotter, with the Happiness Hunt previously seen at Pacific Fair on the Gold Coast, and Harbour City in Hong Kong.
As part of the Happiness Hunt, there will also be an exclusive merchandise section in the centre, giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase their very own limited edition piece of Where’s Wally? to take home.
Shoppers will also have the chance to win one of four $250 Lakeside Joondalup Gift Cards by participating in the fun.
