Although her next major competition is not until April, the City Beach resident and HBF Junior Sports Heroes nominee said she still trained at least seven sessions a week.

As the only West Australian in the 2012 World Short-Course Championships team, Throssell was offered a place at the 2013 Junior World Championships, but chose to focus on her studies.
