PRIZED Cottesloe Beach event, Sculpture by the Sea, has been retained until 2020.
The State Government has announced it had signed a new deal with exhibition organisers, with events organised for next year , 2019 and 2020.
With more than 200,000 visitors in March, Tourism Minister Paul Papalia said the free event had transformed Cottesloe Beach into an impressive outdoor art gallery.

READ NOW“The exhibition features local, national and international artists, set in a stunning coastal location, which helps to raise the event profile and position WA as an attractive cultural destination,” he said.
“Events like Sculpture by the Sea are important because they add to the State’s vibrancy and help attract visitors, which provides an important boost to the economy.”
Details of the deal were scarce, with the figure described as “commercial in confidence”.
