Dinner in the Sky: former Home and Away heartthrob Dieter Brummer in town to secure diners before they take to skies

ONE-TIME Home and Away heartthrob Dieter Brummer is in Perth lending a hand to the high-flyers experiencing Dinner In The Sky.

Dinner in the Sky has been a talking point for anyone willing and able to fork out close to $400 for a five-star dining experience like no other.

But not just for the food and spectacular city views on offer.

Brummer, who was Summer Bay’s likeable lad Shane Parish in the 1990s, is part of the Dinner in the Sky team because of his lesser-known talents in high-rise abseiling.

His skills are put to use securing guests in safety harnesses before they are hoisted 50m skywards to dine in the stars.

Sadly, for some diners, that is in the stars – not with the stars.

Because helpful as he is, Brummer remains grounded for the duration of the experience, with in-flight entertainment provided by the chef and cocktail making crew.

Brummer twice won a Silver Logie during his time on Home and Away and has had more recent television appearances in Underbelly, Neighbours and Winners and Losers.

While the concept was temporarily grounded by the City of South Perth, it is back in the skies from today.
