AN incredible renovation has transformed this house from a dated, triplex home to a luxuriously appointed residence.

Owner Patrick Patterson bought the home in 2015 and said the jackhammers came in five minutes after settlement.

“My intention was to have a home  designed for entertaining, but at the same time with minimal upkeep,” he said.

While it is on the same 434sq m block, the new home bears little  resemblance to the original.

The old laundry was demolished to double the size of the kitchen, which now includes a suite of premium Neff appliances, Liebherr side-by-side fridge/freezer, ample bench space and storage, and an onyx Franke sink.

There is a large living room and the dining room was extended and reconfigured and can easily house a table for 10.

A huge, undercover outdoor entertaining area, with built in kitchen, western red cedar-lined ceiling and timber decking, was also added.

Mr Patterson particularly likes this space; it reminds him of many happy times spent in Tuscany.

The home has two king-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms.

The master bedroom was designed to be a private and luxurious space and includes a striking ensuite with a free-standing bath and double shower.

It opens to a private courtyard with a spa.

Mr Patterson works from home and the layout now includes a large comfortable office.

It is separate from the living areas and could be used as a third bedroom.

The project was a labour of love and Mr Patterson had intended to stay and enjoy the results of his hard work, but he is tempted to try renovating again.
