Zorzi remembers award-winning Saddington Cres home

Natalie HordovWestern Suburbs Weekly

Business development manager David Reynolds said he remembered the home well.

“The client came to us while we were displaying another home, and as a new resident needed help with everything from finding a school for his young children to relationships with banks, accountants etc., not to mention a home that would suit their lifestyle and still be a sound investment for them,” he said.

“We helped find the block, settle the deal, deal with the FIRB, and design and build a home that was a success in every way from being a home through to a solid investment.”

Mr Reynold said that client had remained a close friend and client, building four homes with Zorzi over the years.

“The most satisfying aspects of my journey at Zorzi over the last 20 years have been the relationships that have been established and the number of clients that have returned,” he said.

“Other clients we have built for have gone on to build not only another home but also then returned to build for their children, who are now married with kids; the same children I recall playing on the kitchen floor as we developed the plans for the first home 15-20 years prior. One client we have is 82 and is coming back for her fifth build with us, this time for her grandchildren.

“As a company we have been fortunate that we have trades and artisans who have been with us for generations and that passion for excellence has been passed on to their sons and daughters who now work with us.”

Since 2002 Zorzi has evolved and expanded from building only luxury homes to being a multi-faceted group, covering every demographic from first-home buyers through to luxury homes and commercial construction, turning over about $250 million per annum.

“In 2002 we were in Balcatta and our office was about 10-strong,” Mr Reynolds said.

“From there we have grown to be over 25 in the office and have moved from Balcatta to a development we completed in Rokeby Road, Subiaco, and about a year ago moved into our purpose-built headquarters in Herdsman Park.

“Generally everyone is still here. In fact, the core managers, including myself, have all been here over 20 years, helping to build and develop the business as partners and extended family.” n
