The outlet struck Lotto luck after selling a $1.1 million Division 1 winning ticket in the Saturday, March 19 Lotto Superdraw.

Three days later, the ticket bought at Mundaring Lottery Centre and News remained unclaimed.

“The win has certainly created a lot of chatter and positive vibes,” Mr Murgatroyd said.

“We had a feeling something was ‘cooking’ and that a win was not too far away.”

Mr Murgatroyd said the newsagency loved to see their customers win and in the past 16 years had many Division 2 winners.

The last time the outlet had a Division 1 winner was in August 2007, with a payout of $500,000.
