Northam seniors celebrate living longer and stronger

They recently celebrated the Seniors Living Longer Living Stronger program with a birthday party at Northam RSL Hall.

Longest-serving fitness fan Merle Perrie received an honour for her involvement with the program since it started in Northam. Instructor Hetty Smith also received a ‘thank you’ for her involvement since the gym opened.

In Balance Fitness owner Alex Gazis-Morris said the Department of Sport and Recreation’s SilverSport program provided discounts for seniors.

“We are moving our entire business in the direction of the Living Longer Living Stronger program, focusing on improving functional fitness and helping people in the Northam community live their best possible lives,” she said.
