Improvements to the plant included a new inlet work, odour collection and treatment facilities, and an upgraded reuse water delivery system.

Mr Alban said the upgrade increased capacity of the plant to treat up to 240 kilolitres of wastewater a day.

“The great news about this upgrade is that treated water from the plant will allow increased water reuse on local community sports ovals and a nearby equestrian centre during summer.
