Wing it to Shire of Kalamunda birdwatching course

Due to popular demand, BirdLife WA in partnership with the Shire is presenting another series of free birdwatching events next month.

Bookings for previous events attracted over 70 people to the first two information sessions and tours.

Kalamunda Shire President Andrew Waddell said that bird watching was a popular interest for many residents.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity for people to get up close and personal to the array of local birdlife in the Shire.”

Experts from BirdLife WA will share their passion and knowledge on the joys of birdwatching.

Participants will receive tips on how to identify birds and where to find them. An information session will be held on Tuesday, October 11, from 6.30pm-8.30pm at Kalamunda Town Square Hall.

The first tour will be held on Saturday, October 15, from 8am-9.30am at Jorgensen Park, 2 Crescent Road, Kalamunda.

The second birdwatching tour will be held on Saturday, October 22, from 8am-9.30am at Kalamunda National Park, at Schipp Road, Piesse Brook.
