Wundowie: WA Police investigating fatal car crash

A MAN was killed in a car crash east of Perth yesterday afternoon after police had earlier spotted the vehicle travelling at high speed.

The single-vehicle crash happened on Chedaring Road in Wundowie about 70km out of Perth just after 3pm, killing the 31-year-old driver.

Patrol officers had detected the Holden ute travelling at 140km/h in a 110km/h zone and performed a U-turn in an attempt to stop it but lost sight of the car.

They found the vehicle had rolled a short time later.

Police and ambulance officers provided emergency first aid to the man but he died at the scene.
