York: making some road safety noise at Soundfest

YORK Community Resource Centre succeeded in attracting a government-funded windfall to help promote road safety at Soundfest.

The $1300 is a share in a $60,000 pool for safer driving initiatives supported through the WA Government’s Road Trauma Trust Account.

Road Safety Minister Liza Harvey said the latest round of grants recognised the value of sharing the road safety message at community events.

“The person who can have the biggest impact on road safety is the individual motorist and these community events are a great way to reach local drivers.”
