THE new Coles supermarket in Riverton is hosting a free Community Carnival on Friday September 9, the day before its official opening.
Located at 355 High Road, the new store will create 85 new jobs.
Store Manager Keira Hilton said the development would provide the local community with a quick and easy shopping experience.

READ NOW“We are thrilled to welcome 85 new team members to the store, providing locals with an employment bonanza at a much-needed time,” she said.
“We can’t wait to provide customers with a one-stop shop supermarket where they can purchase fresh bread and an extensive range of great quality fresh meat, fish, fruit and veggies alongside their everyday grocery items.”
Local residents are invited to celebrate the opening from 4.30pm on Friday September 9 with a free Coles Community Carnival to be held in the carpark.
Fun activities and entertainment will be available, including free face painting, carnival rides and show bags.
Much loved My Kitchen Rules contestants Anna and Jordan will be cooking up a storm and there will also be meet-and-greet opportunities with players from the Perth Wildcats.
The store will then open for the first time at 8am on Saturday.
