Sand (31) said his teacher and playwright for the performance Noel O’Neill won the Beryl Silvester Award for Best New Writing and accepted his award on his behalf.

‘I had no recommendation to attend because I’m still very new, so I was certainly not expecting to win,’ he said.

‘I will definitely continue with it, but as far as professional acting goes, I will just have to wait and see.’
