Niamh at one with challenging role

The play is about parties, family and friends set on two different birthdays in the same man’s life.

Taggart said she played a character known only as friend one ” a younger version of the main character’s partner.

‘As with any role, taking on the character is the most difficult aspect and I want to do the character justice and fill the part as the writer and director imagined.’

She said the play appealed to her because of the similarities she shares with the character.

‘We’re both quirky kind of teenagers,’ she said.

‘While this is my first play it was also my first audition and it’s been such an amazing experience.

‘I can’t wait to get further involved with Roleystone Theatre and hopefully branch out into film work.’

A House That Jack Built is on at 8pm on March 21, 22, 28 and 29.
