The 23-year-old Polytechnic West fashion and textiles student was selected after she submitted the design and fabric swatches in the ‘ready to wear collection ” men’s’ category.
‘I wanted to be different ” so many were entering in the women’s category but not many people would venture for men’s, so I thought I’d give it a go,’ she said.
‘I was surprised my design got in because I was quite busy with my other units at the time but I gave it my best and it was a nice surprise.’
