Bentley: Bunning Park revealed after major redevelopment

Emma GearyCanning Gazette

A MAJOR face-lift of Bunning Park in Bentley has been unveiled by the City of Canning.

The $390,000 park redevelopment funded by the City includes new playground equipment and outdoor exercise equipment.

A City spokesman said the design of the park would provide more usable and level areas of grass for informal exercise activities, reducing the amount of water use required to maintain a high standard of landscaping and increasing the number of shade trees.

“Prior to the redevelopment, the park was mostly grass and a simple playground which was in need of replacement,” he said.

“The whole park has been replaced with the exception of trees and the irrigation controller.”

Construction commenced in January 2017, was completed in April and revealed last Wednesday.

Bunning Park is located on the corner Bunning St and Argyle Street, Bentley.
