The team took out first place in the floral decorator category at the Australian Bridal Industry Academy (ABIA) awards.

They also picked up silver in the floral design category.

It is the fourth consecutive year the store, which celebrates its 40th birthday this year, has won an ABIA award.

Senior floral designer Christine Blackshaw said the team was very fussy about flowers.

“We treat every wedding as if it were our own and this is one of our secrets to success, along with our love of weddings,” Ms Blackshaw said. “The ABIA awards are like no other as they are rated anonymously by past clients who rate our services on quality, value for money and customer service.”

Ms Blackshaw said the average wedding took much discussion and preparation.

“Roses have to be the most popular and timeless wedding flower to be used,” she said. “Recently, a beautiful trend for weddings has been to go back to the very pretty, feminine vintage style, which for us, lets our imagination run wild.

“As for my own favourite flower, this changes every day depending on what new blooms have come in that day.”

Willetton Wedding Flowers was also nominated for the 2015 Palazzo Versace National Designer of Dreams Awards.
