Business fights for CanTeen

THE Canning Vale business community will come together on Friday for a night of food and fun to raise funds for charity CanTeen.

Hosted by Fight 4 Life in partnership with WA Conscious Business Association, the annual event has helped raise more than $30,000 for young people living with cancer.

CanTeens WA division manager Anita Young said the youth charitys work would not be possible without the fundraising efforts of supporters like Fight 4 Life.

Every day, another 63 young people have to face the challenge of cancer whether theyve been diagnosed themselves or whether its their parent, brother or sister, Ms Young said.

CanTeen helps young people cope with the impact cancer has on their lives by providing counselling, information and opportunities for young people in similar situations to connect, support each other and have fun, she said.

The event will be held at Willow Pond Reception Centre.

All funds raised from the sale of tickets and onsite auction will go towards extending the services CanTeen provides to 12 to 24-year-olds in Western Australia.
