Canning Men’s Shed get new tools thanks to City grant

THE Canning Men’s Shed was the beneficiary of a $2000 grant for machinery for wood working projects.

Guaranteed to keep the blokes busy, the grant was awarded through a City of Canning Community Equipment Grant, as part of the Community Partnership Fund.

The City supports a variety of sporting, community and cultural groups through grant funding.

The grants enable the City assist community groups to develop, support themselves financially and make a positive contribution to the community.

The Canning Men’s Shed used a City of Canning grant to purchase a circular saw and wood supplies for local projects.

The equipment will push the members to develop new skills while working on projects for the community.

The Men’s Shed movement contributes to the health and wellbeing of its members, who are part of the Canning community.
