Canning response to Aged Care and Disability review postponed because of overwhelming public response

CITY of Canning received more than 170 public submissions to a recent Aged Care and Disability Review launched in response to a Federal funding shift in the sector.

Calling the response-rate “excellent”, Canning chief executive Arthur Kyron said the wide cross section of opinion would form part of a submission to council next month.

“Over 170 submissions were received with a wide variety of comments (and) all of the submissions are currently being reviewed and will form part of the report to Council,” Mr Kyron said.

The large number of submissions sees the issue pushed back to the August 16 council meeting rather than the July meeting as originally stated.
