Canning Vale death: Aya Hishmeh pleads not guilty to murder charge

THE woman charged with the murder of teenager Jacob Cummins in Canning Vale last year has pleaded not guilty.

Aya Hishmeh (21) also entered pleas of not guilty to four charges of attempted murder in the Supreme Court this morning.

Ms Hishmeh sobbed in court as she said ‘not guilty’ and she has been remanded in custody.

The trial will begin on January 30 next year.

Jacob died in December last year when he was hit by a car on Eucalyptus Boulevard in Canning Vale.

The incident followed a fight at a Canning Vale McDonald’s which continued at several locations around the suburb.
