Pia van StraalenCanning Gazette

EIGHT years after its first meeting, the Canning Vale Toastmasters will celebrate its 400th meeting.

Held weekly, members aged 18 to 70, each meeting requires members prepare a speech, deliver an impromptu speech and evaluate one another.

This Tuesday the Toastmasters will celebrate their milestone with a free event at the Canning Vale College Library from 6.30pm.

Based around a “Ruby Red” anniversary theme, which signifies health, wealth and wisdom, the evening’s agenda will include speeches from current members as well as refreshments.
