Cannington: Man charged for threatening father and children

CANNINGTON Police have charged a man as a result of their investigation into an incident where threats were made against a man and his children.

Around 3:15pm, on Thursday June 14, a man in his thirties was waiting at a bus stop on Gibbs Street in East Cannington with his two children when it is alleged a man in the front yard of a home on Gibbs Street, started yelling abuse and threats at the family.

It is further alleged the man threatened them with a long stick.

The 41 year old man of East Cannington has been charged with threats to injure, endanger or harm any person; and being armed in a way that may cause fear.

He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on July 6.
