Consumer Protection Commissioner Anne Driscoll, Chief Scientist Lyn Beazley and Governor Malcolm McCusker were special guests at the Ties and Tiaras party, which included a live band, dancing, food, activities and award presentations.

Six Sarah Potter awards of cash were given to staff with disabilities who had shown a positive attitude, grown personally and professionally, contributed to workplace morale, showed interest in others’ welfare and participated in community activities.

Ten $1000 scholarships from the Ralph Sutton Education Fund were awarded to Year 12 students with a disability to help them to enter the workforce or further their career aspirations.
