Originally deferred by former Canning Commissioner Linton Reynolds, the plan was again deferred by Canning’s three new commissioners ” Steven Cole, Steve Smith and David Gray.
At Wednesday’s special council meeting, the three commissioners decided they had not had the opportunity to hear all views.
Mr Cole said it would be prudent to defer the item to next month’s meeting.
‘There were a significant number of community members with concerns and the new commissioners felt they would like additional time to further consult with the community and City officers before making a decision on this issue,’ he said.
