It was recognised for engaging with dieticians and health promotion workers to provide equipment and resources to promote nutrition and cooking.
The awards are held every two years and are a partnership between the Department of Local Government and Communities, and the WA Council of Social Services.
Foodbank WA chief executive Greg Hebble said it was great to know their services were welcomed.
‘In order to expand their ‘virtual workforce’, staff undertook statewide consultations with numerous workers and community, while reviewing evidence-based best practice principles,’ Mr Hebble said.
