Mayor Paul Ng said the website made it easier for residents, businesses and visitors to find information and communicate with the City.

He said the new site featured an improved search function as well as information displayed in a more user-friendly style.

Among other things, people can find out about local events or find what they are looking for on the new business and community directories.

“Businesses will connect with the City more easily, reducing barriers… (and) overall it will help to make life a little easier for the Canning community,” Mr Ng said.

The website will evolve with the City, with new functionality released during the next 12 to 18 months.

“The new website looks great, really representing the people and places in Canning,” Mr Ng said.

“It is the kind of website you will want to come back to.”

People are encouraged to visit the website at www.canning.wa.gov.au for more.
