CITY of Canning has launched a What’s On in Canning Facebook page and Instagram competition in a bid to cultivate a social media community.

The pagewas specifically created for use by the Canning community.

Managed by the City but open to all community groups and individuals, the page has attracted more than 500 members in less than two weeks.

The Instagram photo competition encourages residents to tag their favourite Canning photo with the @city_of_canning handle and follow city_of_canning on Instagram to be in the running to win one of four Hoyts movie passes.
