Jaime ShurmerCanning Gazette

PRETTY posies and bouquets for Mother’s Day will offered by Curtin Primary School but get in quick as orders close this Sunday.

The fundraiser is a joint initiative between the school and McDougall Kindy and will raise funds for a nature play area.

An online stall has been set up and orders will be accepted until Sunday, May 6, with collection available the Saturday prior to Mother’s Day.

People can purchase a $5 joy-filled jar, a posy of love for $15, or a big bouquet of appreciation for $35.

Parents and Citizens group president Kelly Muller said volunteers from the school and kindy would arrange the blooms for sale.

“They have been fundraising for some time and have recently engaged a consultant to complete the formal design,” she said of the nature play area.

“All funds raised will go towards the costs associated with construction.

“The stall is a fantastic opportunity for members of the community to support their local school and give – or receive – a beautiful gift.”
