Evolve Perth hosting Superhero Saturday for cosplayers

WHETHER you are a die-hard comic collector or casual pop culture fan, Evolve 2016 is set to impress fans this weekend at Southlands in Willetton.

This weekend, Superhero Saturday –part of Evolve 2016– will be transforming the shopping centre into a pop culture zone with interactive games, cinema screenings and special guest appearances.

Cosplay legend Lady Jaded will be present to meet the crowd.

Perth-based Lady Jaded has been an active cosplayer for nearly four years, who attends events such as OZ ComicCon, Supanova and Evolve.

An official member of the Rebel Legion Wraith Base she also donates her time to charity events like Radio Lollipop.

Evolve 2016 is a two day event being held on Saturday and Sunday September 3 and 4 at HBF Stadium Mt Claremont.

It will be filled with entertainment, games, specialist traders and exhibitors, competitions, workshops and fun activities for fans of science fiction and popular culture.

Nintendo Wii competitions will commence at 11am followed by a special screening of Suicide Squad commencing at 12.15pm in the Hoyts cinemas.

A super prize pack valued at $500 will be awarded to the best-dressed customer on the day.

Tickets to Evolve 2016 and other prizes will also be given away.
